Three‐dimensional simulation of the acidizing process under different influencing factors in fractured carbonate reservoirs

Matrix acidizing is widely used to enhance oil/gas production in the exploitation of carbonate reservoirs. In this work, a three-dimensional (3D) hydro-chemical-thermal (H-C-T)-coupled model was presented improve understanding process. The influence different influencing factors analyzed, especially coupling effect natural fractures and situ stress. With increase acid injection concentration, minimum pore volume required for breakthrough (PVBT) decreases. optimal rate PVBT with increasing initial reservoir temperature. permeability, increases. diameter specific surface area, increase. When fracture direction perpendicular maximum principal stress, apertures decrease which leads an wider paths wormholes. Lastly, present H-C-T-coupled applied context Tahe exploitation, shows that optimizing able connection between wellbores caves.
